I am so excited to finally present to you all my first series of photographs. I originally got the idea for this project because I felt stuck in the rut of capturing only the positive aspects to people. I know it sounds odd, but I wanted to delve deeper into one of the most honest and emotional parts of the human soul: when a person feels defeated. Although these might not be "pretty" pictures, I still find a fresh breath of something new in the not-so-common qualities of these portraits. I hope that you can see the story behind each person.

This semester has proven to bring about lots of opportunities! I have been receiving lots of requests for photo shoots from friends and people on campus, and it has been such great experience.
